Thrashers Lose Debut
The expansion Atlanta Thrashers dropped a 4-1 decision to the New Jersey Devils
in their inaugural game Saturday at a sold-out Philips Arena. Captain Kelly Buchberger
scored the team's first-ever goal off an assist from top draft pick Patrik Stefan
in the second period.
